Lol. It’s nobody’s fault but mine. I was on a good little routine there for awhile, but I fell off it when I went to Winnipeg for a week and haven’t gotten back into one since I have returned. Been going to bed way too late for my early morning starts. I have managed to somewhat keep up with my morning routine, but it’s not consistent. Some days I take forever and other days I’m super quick and some days I push my exercises to the evening.  Gah…I gotta get better at this, but in the same hand, I only just started like 3 weeks ago?  I guess I should cut myself some slack and not expect miracles…as I have not had a routine ever. Lol.

What’s my routine you may ask?  Okay, let me share my ideal day with you. When things go well, this is how it looks: 6:00 AM – alarm goes off. I am one of those fortunates who can get up immediately without hesitation and no, it’s not because I sleep well. In fact, I have had insomnia for most of my life, but I will say I DO sleep much better than I used to since having kids. But according to my Fitbit, I used to wake up on average 15 to 25 times per night. My fit bit has gone a little squirrely and is not working like it should, so I have stopped wearing it, so not sure if my sleeps are quite as restless, but I know I wake up at least half a dozen times, because that’s what I can remember.

Anyhoo, where was I?  Oh yes, morning routine.  It looks something like this: Alarm 6:00 AM / toilet relief 6:01 Am – 6:03 AM / Facial routine 6:04 AM – 6:11 AM / Feed the cats 6:12 AM / Clean the litter box 6:13 AM / Wash hands 6:14 AM / Sit in my comfy chair, turn on fire place (fake), cuddle with pillow and blanket and do my devotion and bible study 6:15 AM – 7:15 AM / Make school lunches for the kids 7:16 AM – 7:36 AM / Make breakfast for my son 7:37 AM – 7:45 AM / Grab a bite to eat 7:46 AM – 7:55 AM / Make my daughter breakfast 7:56 AM – 8:16 AM / Exercise 8:17 AM – 9:17 AM / Get ready for work 9:18 AM – 9:33 AM / Drive to work 9:34 AM – 9:49 AM / Work 9:50 AM – 5:00 PM (or later depending on day) and then my evenings vary as I have a Leadership course Monday evenings, Zumba on Tuesday evenings, Wednesdays are open, Thursdays I have bowling and Friday is my bingo night. NO…I don’t go to bingo because I’m old. I’ve been going to bingo since I was 5. YES…kids USED to be allowed in the bingo halls. LOL.I love it. It’s fun and it’s my alone time which I don’t get much of. Saturday nights is open and Sunday evenings are open every second weekend as every other weekend is our family fun night. That’s when each of us in the immediate family take turns choosing to do things together as a family.  I LOVE IT.

So…I TRY to get in bed by 9:45 PM so that I can be in bed for a little more than 8 hours and if I’m lucky I’ll sleep for 7 of it. BUT lately I’ve been all over the map and going to bed WAY too late…plus I wear pajamas that are sometimes too warm, so that doesn’t help…why wear them then you may ask, because my mamma got them  for me. Enough said.  Lol. So tonight I intend to go to bed at a decent time. It shouldn’t be too difficult as I am out of the city right now in AirRonge, SK for work and call time isn’t until 9:30 AM or something like that, so I’ll be sure to get my 8 hours tonight!

Hopefully by the time I blog again, I’ll have this bed time thing down pat…
