Welcome back!

What is Eave you might ask? Well, it stands for European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs. It is a professional training, project development and networking organization for audiovisual producers. I was fortunate enough to be chosen among 41 other participants for the first year they ever opened it up to Canadians. That was last year and it was a very rewarding experience.

Not only did I learn a truck load, but I met some amazing people, made some new friends and have grown in ways I never imagined I would. Well…the program coordinators decided to surprise all the cohorts from the first year and invite us all to Winnipeg, Manitoba for a two day intensive last week where not only did we get to meet up with all our fellow comrades, but we got to meet new ones as they coincided this two day event with the second group of cohorts that is doing the program this year.

Oh what a glorious 2 days it was. They put us up in a beautiful hotel called “Inn at the Forks” and spoiled us rotten with phenomenal instructors, delicious meals and a trip to the Winnipeg Art Gallery. We shared lots of tears and laughter together and I am grateful. I would say the future for the lot of us is bright and we are going to be able to celebrate one another’s success for years to come.
